Social Security Fairness Act

At the end of his term in office, President Biden signed the Social Security Fairness Act, which repealed the Windfall Elimination Provision, and the Government Pension Offset.

These two acts reduced government employee’s social security benefits. Since their repeal, this could allow government employees to start receiving social security benefits or increase their current benefits.
